Hi friends,

Jackie Ganim-DeFalco goes out before sunrise — after storms especially — walking beaches on Cape Ann looking for sea glass. She knows what she's after: specific shapes, specific colors, the weight of a piece, how the light moves through it. She's been doing this for 23 years.

Back in her Gloucester studio, she figures out how each found piece wants to exist in the world — as a barrette, a pendant, a brooch, a garden stone. She calls it "visualizing a series of puzzles." The results are one of a kind, every time.

She'll be here on April 25th — all day, 10 to 5 — with her full collection. Stop in, ask her where she found a piece. She has the best stories.
